Who We Are

Matrix Global Advisors (MGA) is a Washington, DC-based economic policy consulting firm. MGA engages in economic and policy consulting on a range of fiscal, economic, and tax policy matters. Through insights and knowledge of the political process and the application of analytical tools, MGA has helped health care providers, taxpayers, commercial banks, investment banks, and others navigate legislative and regulatory proposals both to assist those advocating for change as well as to forecast likely action by Congress. With a thorough knowledge of the legislative process and the effect of influential factors, be they political advocates or regulatory agencies, MGA assists those affected by Washington’s broad reach into the U.S. economy.

Alex Brill, CEO

Prior to founding MGA, Alex served as policy director and chief economist to the House Committee on Ways and Means, where he worked from 2002-2007. He directed policy development and led staff-level negotiations on a variety of tax, health, pension, and trade matters. Previously, Alex served at the White House Council of Economic Advisers. In addition to being CEO of Matrix Global Advisors, Alex is a Research Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.


Christy Robinson, Director

Before joining MGA, Christy was an associate editor at the American Enterprise Institute. Previously, she worked at the Nuclear Energy Institute and the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture at the University of Virginia. Christy holds a master's degree in public policy from George Mason University, where she received the Alexis De Tocqueville Award. She was a Bryce Harlow Fellow for the 2012-2013 academic year.
